A few easy food picks

Queenstown has loads of places to eat, but this is not meant to be a complete restaurant guide. I am much more of a casual diner than a fine-dining person, so these are places where you can get a really good meal without turning dinner into a major event.

Best pizza

Italian Way

My favourite pizza around Queenstown when I am specifically heading out for pizza.

My order Buonissima.

My pick

Ferg Butcher

For casual burgers, I'd skip the Fergburger queue in Queenstown and head to Ferg Butcher in Arrowtown instead.

In my opinion, there are no queues and it tastes even better, especially if you cycle out there, as I recommend in my Things to Do in Queenstown guide.

My order Deluxe Cheese Burger with an extra patty.

Quick and cheap

Brunch on Church

One of the cheapest coffees I know in town, with good breakfast burgers and quick food.

Breakfast pick

Odd Saint

My favourite when I want to sit down for breakfast or brunch and take my time.

More places I keep going back to

Frankton Pizzeria

A close second for pizza, with some great unusual combinations and regular deals.

Thai and Korean

@Thai and Mapo88

Two completely different picks. Choose @Thai when you feel like Thai, or Mapo88 when you want Korean chicken.

Bombay Palace

My favourite Indian around Queenstown.

My order Malai Kofta with a garlic chilli cheese naan.

Fergbaker

Huge, rich and basically a meal by themselves.

My pick Brownies.

Something fancier

Toast & Oak

I do not usually head out for super-fancy food, but the food here was excellent.

My pick Five-course tasting menu.
